In the early 2000’s, a group of parents from the expatriate community of Ankara, Turkey partnered with network of OASIS International Schools to establish a new school for their children. Their common aim was to offer a high-quality, English-based, and cost-effective education via an American-style curriculum that reflected an emphasis on a global world view and the teaching of high character. The result was the Oasis International School of Ankara, which became a reality when it officially opened on September 13, 2004 with 60 students. Today it is home to more than 250 students in grades PK-12 from more than 50 nations.
From its inception, Oasis has been fully approved by the Turkish Ministry of Education. In 2009, we received full accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Over the years we have added an English as a Second Language program, educational therapy, Advanced Placement exams, and a broad array of after-school clubs and sports activities to meet the varied needs of our diverse student body.
Since 2004, students from more than 80 countries have called Oasis their school.
We at Oasis are constantly looking to the future and are continually seeking ways to strategically improve our school according to the needs of our students.
